Tank Pump Outs

Before a fuel storage tank can be removed or decommissioned in must be have the existing heating oil pumped out. The old heating oil fuel is typically removed by inserting a tube connected to a pump through the fill hole of the tank. ECO Metal Recycling has the specialized equipment and the Ministry of Transportation licences required to pump out and dispose of the old heating oil.

Decommissioning of a fuel storage tank or oil tank usually occurs after the fuel from the tank has been pumped-out. After your tank is emptied of fuel/furnace oil it can be decommissioned.

"Decommissioning" is a generic term for taking a tank out of service by cleaning it, then removing it or filling it in place with an inert material.
